Finding a clinic5
How do I find clinics near me?
Start from the directory on the homepage and filter by city and state, or browse the city index if you would rather scan alphabetically. Some cities share a name across states, so select a state in the directory to narrow your results. There is no account and no sign-in.
How many clinics are listed?
Roughly 92,000 clinic profiles across 1,711 US cities and all 50 states plus DC. Coverage is uneven: large metros have hundreds of listings and small towns may have only a handful, because we can only list clinics that publish enough public information to build a profile from.
Why can't I find a clinic I know exists?
Most often because the clinic has little or no public web presence for us to index, or it lists itself under a name or specialty different from the one you searched. Try searching the street name or the parent group instead. If the clinic genuinely is missing, you can ask us to add it.
Do you cover every specialty?
We categorise into 25 broad specialties, from primary care and urgent care through dentistry, dermatology, physical therapy and behavioural health. A clinic offering something narrower will usually sit under its closest parent category, with the specific services listed on its own profile.
Is Clinic Directory free to use?
Yes, entirely, and there is nothing to sign up for. We do not charge patients, and clinics do not pay to be listed or to rank higher in results.
Where our information comes from5
Where does the information on a clinic profile come from?
Publicly available sources: the clinic's own website, public business listings, and public review platforms. Each profile shows the date the underlying information was last gathered when that date is available.
How current is it?
It reflects the last time we indexed that clinic, which is shown on the profile. Hours, accepted insurance and staff change more often than we re-index, so treat everything here as a starting point and confirm the details that matter with the clinic before you travel or book.
Do you verify what clinics claim?
No, not independently. We organise and cross-reference public information; we do not audit credentials, licences, or the accuracy of a clinic's own claims about itself.
Why do some profiles have much less detail than others?
Because the clinic published less. A practice with a detailed services page, staff bios and posted hours produces a fuller profile than one with a single-page site and a phone number. We would rather leave a field out than guess at it.
Something on a profile is wrong. How do I get it fixed?
Email team@clinsight.ai with the profile URL, the field that is wrong, and a link to a clinic-owned page showing the correct value. Corrections backed by a source we can check are applied at the next update. There is no charge for this.
Ratings and reviews5
Where do the ratings come from?
From public review platforms, not from reviews left on this site. You cannot leave a review here. Where a clinic has ratings on more than one platform, the profile shows a combined figure weighted by how many reviews each platform contributed.
What are the "patients praise" and "common complaints" sections?
Recurring themes summarised from the text of public reviews, so you can see what comes up repeatedly rather than reading hundreds of individual reviews. They are a summary of what reviewers said, not our assessment of the clinic.
Why does your rating differ from what I see on Google?
Different platforms sample different reviewers over different time periods, and we combine several sources rather than mirroring one. Our figure also reflects the last time we indexed the clinic. If you need the current number from a specific platform, check that platform directly.
Why do some clinics have no rating at all?
Because we found too few public reviews to report anything meaningful. A missing rating means we have no data, not that the clinic is poorly rated. New practices in particular often have none.
Can a clinic pay to have reviews changed or removed?
No. We do not sell placement, ratings, or review removal. A clinic can ask us to correct a factual error and can point out a review summary that misrepresents its source, and we will check it against the underlying reviews.
Insurance and cost4
Can I filter clinics by the insurance I have?
Yes, where clinics publish which plans they accept. Treat it as a shortlist rather than confirmation: coverage depends on your specific plan, the provider you see and the service you need, and none of that is visible to us.
Does a listing mean the clinic accepts my plan?
No. Network participation changes, often mid-year, and varies by individual provider inside the same practice. Confirm with both the clinic and your insurer before your appointment. This is the single most common reason people get an unexpected bill.
Do you show prices?
Only where a clinic publishes them, which is uncommon. Where a profile shows pricing, payment options or a financing offer, it is reproduced from the clinic's own published material and may be out of date.
Can I find clinics that take self-pay patients?
Many profiles list payment options including self-pay, cash prices and financing where the clinic publishes them. If cost is the deciding factor, call and ask for the self-pay rate directly; practices frequently quote a lower figure than the billed rate.
Booking an appointment4
Can I book an appointment through this site?
No. Booking links on a profile take you to the clinic's own booking system, and the phone number dials the clinic. We do not handle scheduling, take deposits, or see your appointment, so we cannot look up, change or cancel one.
What should I confirm before booking?
That the clinic treats your condition, that it accepts your plan for that specific service, that the provider you want is taking new patients, and what the visit will cost if it turns out not to be covered. Ask about a referral requirement too, since many specialists need one.
The booking link or phone number does not work.
The clinic has probably changed it since we indexed the profile. Try its website directly, and send us the profile URL at team@clinsight.ai so we can correct it.
Do you offer medical advice?
No. Nothing on this site is medical advice, and we cannot tell you which clinic or treatment is right for you. If you have a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.
For clinic owners4
How do I get my clinic listed?
Email team@clinsight.ai with the clinic name, address and website. Listing is free. The main thing that determines how complete your profile looks is how much your own site publishes: services, hours, accepted insurance, languages and staff.
How do I claim or update a profile that already exists?
Email team@clinsight.ai from an address at the clinic's domain, with the profile URL and the changes you want. We apply updates that are supported by a clinic-owned source. There is no fee, and no upsell attached to it.
Can I pay to rank higher?
No. Ordering is based on the data, primarily review volume and rating, and there is no paid placement in the directory. We would rather the rankings stay worth reading.
How do I get my clinic removed?
Email team@clinsight.ai from an address at the clinic's domain and we will remove the profile. We will also remove listings for practices that have closed if you tell us.
