What to expect during a root canal?
After reviewing your general health, we examine your tooth and tissues and perform tests to determine the need for a root canal. We numb the tooth, access the tissue, remove it, clean and shape inside, seal, and place a filling. Most root canals in our office are >90% successful and take about a little over an hour; may require more than one visit in complex cases.
What happens after the visit?
You can resume normal activities; depending on findings, you may need a temporary filling or a lasting filling. A 2-3 week follow-up with your dentist may be needed to complete restoration.
Payment and forms
A portion of the total fee is due at the time of service. A Personal Information form is provided for printing; privacy notice to be signed on arrival.
