FAQs
Pharmacy services & Drug Discount Program Available at Family Health Services
As a Federally Qualified Community Health Center, we participate in the 340B program to reduce drug costs. Those who qualify for our sliding fee rates will receive a reduced rate on medications prescribed by any FHS provider. Not all prescriptions qualify for the discount and the program applies to medications prescribed by FHS providers.
Can I fill prescriptions written by providers not affiliated with FHS at your pharmacies?
Yes, all legal prescriptions can be filled at our on-site pharmacies, including those written by providers not affiliated with FHS. However, these prescriptions will not qualify for the 340B discount.
Do you offer over-the-counter medications and 340B discounts at partner pharmacies?
Yes, we carry over-the-counter medications, and while our 340B discounts apply to prescriptions from FHS providers, we have partnered with numerous pharmacies across Southern Idaho to extend 340B savings when eligible.
Who can participate in the sliding fee program for discounted medications?
Patients who are eligible for our sliding fee scale, often uninsured or underinsured, can receive reduced medication rates. Insurance patients may still use the pharmacies and pay typical copays; non-covered prescriptions may qualify for a reduced rate.
