Southcentral Foundation
Southcentral Foundation (SCF) is an Alaska Native–owned nonprofit healthcare organization based in Anchorage, serving about 70,000 Alaska Native and American Indian people in the Anchorage area and Matanuska-Susitna Borough. Founded in 1982 under Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI), SCF operates as a large Federally Recognized Tribal Health Organization and has historically expanded care by managing the Alaska Native Medical Center’s primary care program (starting in 1998) and developing the Nuka System of Care. SCF provides medical and social services through a network of facilities across 4 offices, with headquarters at 4501 Tudor Centre Drive in Anchorage. The organization emphasizes community ownership and governance by Alaska Native and American Indian communities.
