Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center (CHMC) is a nonprofit healthcare system based in Ogdensburg, NY, serving St. Lawrence County and surrounding communities since 1885. In October 2024, CHMC transitioned to a standalone psychiatric hospital offering acute inpatient mental health services for adults (28 beds) and children/adolescents (12 beds). The organization operates the Claxton Campus, a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital with a 10-bed observation unit, and provides a range of services including cancer/oncology, renal dialysis, wound healing, breast health, pain management, sleep studies, robotic and general surgery, gastroenterology, pulmonology, and related health services.
