Vincennes University (VU) is Indiana’s oldest public higher education institution, founded in 1801. It operates primarily from its residential campus in Vincennes, IN, with additional sites in Jasper, Fort Branch, and the Indianapolis area (Aviation, Logistics, Advanced Manufacturing, and American Sign Language centers). VU offers hands-on learning across diverse programs and has a strong community focus. It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, with around 18,400 students (Fall 2023) and roughly 722 academic staff. The campus is public, departmental leadership includes President Charles R. Johnson, and the school’s athletic teams compete in NJCAA Division II as the Trailblazers. For patient care or medical services, you may want to check VU’s health services or local Vincennes-area medical facilities directly on the university site (vinu.edu) or contact the university’s main phone line at 800-742-9198 / 1-812-888-4277.
