Valleywise Health is a nonprofit, public teaching health system based in Phoenix, serving Maricopa County for 140+ years. It operates the Valleywise Medical Center (a Level 1 Trauma Center), the Diane & Bruce Halle Arizona Burn Center, Comprehensive Health Center, three Behavioral Health Centers, and a network of Community Health Centers across Maricopa County. The system recently opened a new 10-story, 240-bed Valleywise Medical Center on the Roosevelt Campus (2024). It is the region’s largest public hospital system and supports expanded services through Proposition 409 (2025) to enhance behavioral health and primary care facilities.
