Mass General Brigham Express Care
Mass General Brigham (MGB) is a nonprofit, integrated health system based in Greater Boston, formed in 1994 (formerly Partners HealthCare). It centers on two major academic hospitals—Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital—plus affiliated hospitals, home care, urgent care, and a health plan. MGB is a principal teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School and operates about 82,000 employees with roughly $20B in operating revenue (as of 2024). The system has faced regulatory scrutiny over costs and expansion, and underwent restructuring with nonclinical layoffs in 2025. Its stated headquarters are in Somerville, MA, with multiple facilities in the Boston area.
